Contributor Value starts with accepted work that reaches the tracked default branch. It measures attributable changes while separating generated code, vendored code, formatting-only changes, bots, and merge noise.
Shared work is allocated without double-counting repository value. Later retention checks reduce credited value when work is reverted, replaced, or removed.
Contributor Value is an estimated development-value metric. It should be interpreted with role, outcomes, collaboration, and work that Git cannot observe.
